than A-Rod? This guy never seems to make the clutch hit when his team needs it or get the sacrifice fly when it counts but will hit a 3 run bomb when the Yankees are up 6 or down 8.

That's the conventional wisdom with the guy. Does anyone have comparative stats for how many rbis he has when a game is close as compared to games that are 3+ runs or more either way?

He's batting .285 RISP and over .300 RISP w/2 outs. He would seem to do OK when he has his chances. Not sure he's worth 25M a year ...

I've been a huge critic of A-Rod........when he's on, watch out...i still would like my chances with him at the plate when the game is on the line....not as clutch as Jeter, but tough.

I dont have the stats in front of me...but i'm pretty sure ESPN showed a stat that A-Rod is actually in the top 5 in 'go ahead' rbis over the past few years...I want to even say he has more than Papi.

AROD has a persona that everyone luvs to hate...hence why his outs in key sitautions usually are more memorable.

Like I said I dont know the full details...but i'm 99% positive he was high on the list of 'key' rbis...dude knocks in 130+ year...he's def. gonna have key rbis

guys like go2guy don't get this. they know little to nothing about baseball, and just go by what they read, what they hear the masses say, or what has just occurred. since he started this topic after a-rod going 0-1 today.

go2guy, how about watching a whole game and forming your own opinion, rather than relying on others to form your opinion.

dumb thread. just because he is overpaid doesn't mean he is anywhere on the radar screen of being the biggest choker in sports. The more I think about it the dumber the thread gets.

yep,

only debate here is what/who is more unintelligent, the thread or the author of the thread.

go2guy is a good guy new money. Why are you making such a big deal out of this? You keep coming in this thread bashing him for no reason at all.....you made a dumb post go2guy I'm gonna spend a half hour and 10 posts bashing it. And your defense of A rod was "seemed to get a few clutch hits today." ... brilliant

Thanks Korn. Let this guy have his fun. He's either a cowardly ghost or some 15 year old pimpled face punk who stole Mommy's password to use the computer. I actually get a :puppy: out of his post.
